This is a Speyside single malt from Strathmill, distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2003 at 13 years old by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society. It comes from a single ex-bourbon hogshead, which yielded 285 bottles, and is bottled at a cask strength of 56.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The Society's code 100.7 gives the distillery number first and the cask number second. Strathmill is a light-bodied distillery that uses a long fermentation to build fruitiness, and its purifier pipe adds a lightly oily character to the spirit.
