Sullivans Cove – Double Cask

Sullivans Cove Double Cask is a single malt from Tasmania Distillery, which was founded in 1994 as Sullivans Cove Distillery after a change in the law. The site, on the western bank of the River Derwent near Hobart, was first recorded in 1804. The distillery pays tribute to the Muwinina, the original inhabitants of the area, with its whisky. The nose is sweet and spicy, with dried dates, figs, sultanas and vanilla. The palate brings sweet maltiness, dried apricots, honey, freshly baked bread and creamy vanilla. The finish is long, spicy and fruity, with a touch of oak.
