Chita is a Japanese single grain whisky from Suntory, made at the Chita Distillery on the Chita Peninsula. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV.
It is produced using column still distillation, and the whisky is matured in a mix of cask types, including wine, sherry and bourbon barrels.
The nose is soft honey, creamy vanilla, fresh citrus and grain sweetness, with white flowers and light oak. The palate offers sweet corn, vanilla custard, mild spice and bright citrus. The finish is light and mellow, with soft oak, subtle spice and gentle sweetness.
