A Japanese blended malt in a Suntory Excellence Pot Still decanter, bottled in the 1980s at 43% in a 76cl decanter. It is an older distillery exclusive decanter from Suntory, whose distilleries are Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita. The malt is presumed to come from Yamazaki and Hakushu, though other Japanese single malts of the period, such as Mars or Karuizawa, could be in the mix. The palate offers clove, cinnamon, allspice and ginger, with touches of honey and red apple. The finish carries gentle spice for a long time over a sweetness underneath.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
