This is a Japanese blended whisky from Suntory, bottled in 1983 to mark the 60th year since the founding of Yamazaki, Suntory's flagship distillery. It is labelled as a distillery exclusive covering Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita, and comes in a 76cl bottle at 43% ABV.
Yamazaki was built in 1923, although it did not produce spirit until 1924. The 1899 in the name refers to the opening of Torii Shinjiro's wine shop, the start of what became Suntory.
