The Chita is a single grain Japanese whisky from the House of Suntory, created by its Master Blenders to stand alongside Yamazaki and Hakushu. It comes from Chita, south of Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture, where the distillery was founded in 1972. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle and is bright gold in colour. Chita grain whiskies have traditionally been the base that brings harmony to Suntory blends, including Hibiki and Kakubin. The nose is crème brûlée, cardamom, acacia honey and blossoming rose. The palate is mild and smooth, with a hint of mint and deep honey, leading to a clean, clear finish of spiced oak with subtle bittersweet notes.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
