Suntory The Chita Single Grain Whisky (43%)

The Chita is a Japanese single grain whisky from Suntory, bottled at 43%. It is made at the Chita Distillery on the Chita Peninsula in Aichi Prefecture, which was established in 1972. The whisky is made mainly from maize and distilled through several column stills, producing a variety of grain whisky styles. It is matured in a combination of wine, Spanish oak and American white oak casks. The nose brings honey, crème brûlée and fresh flowers. The palate is smooth and silky, with vanilla, mint, orchard fruits and subtle spice, and the finish is clean and lightly sweet.
