Suntory Yamazaki 18 Year Old 2019 Release

Yamazaki 18 Year Old is a Japanese single malt from the Suntory distillery at Yamazaki, shown here in its 2019 release. The expression was first launched in 1992. Up to 80% of the malt in the blend was matured in sherry casks, with the remainder spending its time in American oak and Mizunara oak casks. The whisky is a deep amber colour. The nose combines raisin, apricot, café au lait and Mizunara oak. On the palate come blackberry, strawberry jam and dark chocolate, and the finish is long, spicy and smooth.
