Yamazaki Story of the Distillery 2024 is a limited edition from the Yamazaki Distillery, founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii at the foot of the Ōi Mountains in Kyoto. It belongs to a special release series from Suntory's distilleries.
The whisky was matured in American oak, European oak and Japanese Mizunara oak casks. The American oak adds vanilla and caramel, the European oak dried fruit and spice, and the Mizunara sandalwood and oriental spice.
The nose is sweet vanilla, orchard fruit and delicate florals. The palate is silky, with honey, caramel and spiced orange, and the finish is of medium length with warm spice and dried fruit.

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
