Swell de Spirits Swell & Co #21 Ben Nevis 2014 (50cl, 57.7%)

A single cask Ben Nevis from the Highlands, distilled in 2014 and bottled in April 2025 as number 21 in the Swell & Co series. It is a peated malt matured in a hogshead and bottled at a cask strength of 57.7%, in a 50cl bottle, with 220 numbered bottles in the edition. The nose opens with fine birch smoke and honey on warm brioche, with honeysuckle, lavender and hyacinth, later adding toasted hazelnuts, peaches in eau-de-vie, milk chocolate and leather. The palate starts with dense lavender honey, then leather, light pipe smoke, oak, clove, cardamom and nutmeg, with caramel and white chocolate. The finish is long and warm.
