Talisker – 10 Year Old (70cl, 45.8%)

Talisker 10 Year Old is a single malt from the Talisker distillery at Carbost on the Isle of Skye, bottled at 45.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The distillery was founded in 1830 by the brothers Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill. The label describes it as made by the sea, with sweet smoke and peat pepper. The nose brings sea salt, seaweed and a hint of pepper. On the palate there is smoky peat with dried fruit, citrus and spice, and the spiciness lingers into the finish.
