This is a Talisker from the Isle of Skye, distilled in 1958 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail, probably in the early 1980s. It is in a 75cl bottle at 40% ABV.
The nose is typically described as combining peaty smoke with fruit, along with herbs, oils, waxes, flowers and polishes. The palate opens on peated sultanas and moves through smoke, ash, wax, spices, salt, syrup, resin and herbal extracts. The finish is not the longest, but carries a resinous smokiness.
