This is a 25 year old single malt Scotch whisky from Talisker, bottled at 45.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose brings banana fritters, sea spray, old oak furniture and cider apples, with a whiff of Frazzles, all held together by crumbly fudge. On the palate, floral heather and perhaps a hint of rose give way to heavier salted caramel, chilli chocolate, smoky barley and nectarines.
The finish starts with smoke that turns sweet, with an undercurrent of cedar.
