Talisker 8 Year Old is the 2024 Special Release from the Isle of Skye distillery, a single malt bottled at 56.9% in a 70cl bottle.
It is made from heavily peated malt and matured close to the sea, and its high strength is part of the character.
The nose brings sea air, charred driftwood, cracked pepper and citrus zest. The palate is smoky, with sweet malt, chilli heat, salted caramel and grilled lemon. The finish is long and salty, with pepper, ash and a trace of seaweed.
