Talisker – Dark Storm (1L, 45.8%)

Talisker Dark Storm is a single malt from the Talisker distillery on the Isle of Skye, matured in heavily charred oak casks. It is bottled at 45.8% in a one-litre bottle, chill-filtered and with added colour. The charring gives a smoky, spicy and deep character, with a lightly caramelised note. The nose has strong smoke, sea salt and dark vanilla, with toasted wood and spice. On the palate come pepper, dark chocolate, smoky oak and a fine sweetness of vanilla and toffee, with a light saltiness. The finish is long, warm and spicy, with smoke, pepper and oak.
