This is a single malt from Talisker, the distillery on the Isle of Skye founded in 1831. It is bottled at 45.8% ABV in a 1 litre bottle and has a dark amber colour.
The whisky is matured in heavily charred casks, which bring soft vanilla notes from the wood.
The nose opens with citrus, spice and smoke. The palate is sweet, peppery and maritime, with a good measure of smoke. The finish is spicy, peppery and smoky, of medium length.
