Talisker – Parley Wilder Seas

Talisker Parley Wilder Seas is a single malt Scotch matured in XO Cognac casks of French oak, a first for Talisker. It comes in a bottle made entirely from recycled biofuel material, and the limited release supports Talisker's partner Parley for the Oceans. The nose offers malt bread with sultanas, dates and dried figs, over a light chalky mineral note, then brine, sea salt and a ship's rail, with a hint of pipe tobacco. Water brings out smoke. The palate is creamy and sweet at first, then salty, smoky and fruity, with sultanas and figs and a rising peppery spice. The finish is long, warming and slightly drying, with a smoky, fruity aftertaste.
