Talisker – Storm (70cl, 45.8%)

This is Talisker Storm, a single malt from the Isle of Skye, in a 70cl bottle. It is made at the distillery in Carbost, which was founded in 1830 by Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill. Talisker dries its malt over peat, giving a relatively high phenol level, and the distillery is known for a peppery character and a slightly salty taste. After a fire in 1960 destroyed almost all of the distillery, it was rebuilt with five exact replicas of the original stills.
