This is a Talisker single malt from the Isle of Skye, bottled at 48.2% in a 70cl bottle. It is the first Talisker finished in ex-red wine casks from South Africa.
The whisky adds a new side to the maritime character the distillery is known for, combining smoke, spice and salty notes with rich hints of fruit. It was made in collaboration with the Marine Blue Foundation, which works on projects including the restoration of coastal areas.
Talisker was founded in 1830 and is the only distillery on Skye.
