Talisker – Xpedition Oak 43 Year Old (70cl, 49.7%)

This is a 43 year old Talisker single malt from the Isle of Skye, bottled at 49.7% in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the Xpedition Oak series, which celebrates whisky shaped by the natural elements. After more than four decades of ageing, the whisky was finished in 10 casks. Each cask held a few staves that had travelled across the Atlantic with the adventurer James Aiken, who covered the route of the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Antigua.
