A 12-year-old Tamdhu single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside, in a 50ml sample.
The nose is rich, with iced cinnamon buns, orange sweets, fresh sweet oak with raisins and a light touch of mint. The palate has a silky texture, with banana, berry jam, malt sponge and the depth of classic sherry-influenced oak.
The finish is long and balanced, with ground spices, dried fruit and soft Scottish tablet, before a hint of peat smoke appears at the very end.
