Tamdhu 12 Years Sherry Oak is a Speyside single malt bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle, matured in sherry oak. The distillery was taken over in 2011 by the independent, family-owned bottler Ian Macleod, and production started again in 2012.
The nose is a fresh cinnamon bun with icing, sweet oak and a hint of mint. The palate is silky, with banana, malt biscuits and the classic depth of sherry oak. The finish is long and balanced, with ground spices, dried fruit and only a little peat smoke.
