A 15 year old Tamdhu single malt from Speyside, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in oloroso sherry casks, which bring dark fruit and Christmas spice, in keeping with the distillery's reputation for sherry influence.
The nose offers charred pineapple, earthy barley and dense fruitcake, with toasty oak, orange zest and fennel. On the palate dried fruit leads, with orange oil and dried apricot, then earthy vanilla, cedar, leather and cinnamon. The finish is warm and sweet, with waxy peels, clove, chocolate ice cream and oily walnut.
