Tamdhu 18 Year Old is a limited edition Speyside single malt matured in American and European oak casks that previously held Spanish Oloroso sherry. It is bottled without added colour or chill-filtration, and shows a rich colour and a deeply sherried character.
The nose opens with spiced orange, lemon peel, sweet baking spices and plenty of sherry-soaked dried fruit. On the palate the dried fruit moves towards fruit cake, with cinnamon, vanilla pod and crisp red apple. The finish is sweet and nutty, with roasted malt, spiced baked goods, boozy sultanas and cracked peppercorns.
