Tamdhu – 18 Years Old Sherry Cask Single Malt (46.8%)

Tamdhu 18 Years Old is a limited edition single malt matured in a mix of American and European oak casks that previously held Spanish Oloroso sherry. It is bottled at 46.8%, without added colouring or chill filtering. The sherry influence shows in a rich colour and a full sherried profile. On the nose, spicy orange leads, with fresh lemon peel, sweet baking spices and plenty of sherry-soaked dried fruit. The palate turns the dried fruit into rich fruit cake, with cinnamon, earthy vanilla and crisp red apple. The finish brings sweet, nutty oak, roasted malt and more spiced pastry, ending on raisins and ground peppercorns.
