Tamdhu 2013 10 Year Old Bourbon Hogshead - A.D. Rattray Cask Collection (65%)

This is a single cask Tamdhu from Speyside, distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2023 at ten years old by A.D. Rattray as part of its Cask Collection. 293 bottles came from this bourbon hogshead. It is bottled at a cask strength of 65% ABV, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. Tamdhu is normally filled into sherry casks, which makes a bourbon hogshead a less usual way to taste the distillery's spirit. The colour is soft gold. The nose offers roasted caraway, almond splinters and rye bread. The palate brings heather honey, seared grapefruit and amchoor. The finish is nutty, lifted by cayenne pepper and zesty citrus.
