Tamdhu – Distinction II (70cl, 48%)

Tamdhu Distinction II is a single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 48% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It is built around American oak sherry casks from start to finish. The oak comes from North America and is shipped to Spain, where the casks are made over six years in the sherry triangle. The staves dry in the Mediterranean sun, and the casks are then toasted by coopers and seasoned with Oloroso sherry before going to Tamdhu. The new-make spirit takes on rich, fruity flavours and a natural amber colour from the casks.
