Tamdhu Quercus Alba Distinction Release 2 is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It follows on from the original Tamdhu Quercus Alba.
The spirit is matured entirely in American oak, Quercus alba, that previously held oloroso sherry.
The nose is malty and creamy, with vanilla, cinnamon, honey, apple crumble, cherries, citrus and delicate mint. The palate is rich and fruity, with soft oak, plums, gooseberries, chocolate and lime. The finish is long, with lingering sherry notes, dates and syrup-soaked cake.
