Tan Cho Japanese Whisky Mizunara Cask (70cl, 55%)

Tan Cho Mizunara Cask is a Japanese single malt bottled by the sake brewery Hakutsuru. The whisky was distilled in eastern Hokkaido and matured for three years in selected casks. It then received a finish in Mizunara oak casks. It is bottled at 55% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and without added colour. The nose is ripe honeydew melon, caramel and almonds. On the palate there is soft banana sweetness, gentle waves of caramel and fresh herbal notes. The finish brings dark chocolate and orange, with lingering smoky, peaty notes.
