Tankyu Distillery – New Make Single Malt New Pot 2026 (12cl, 63%)

This is the first single malt spirit from Tankyu Distillery in Hokkaido, in a 120ml bottle at 63%. It comes from the team behind Perfume Trees Gin and is limited to 1,200 bottles. It is made from imported Laureate malt, fermented for 192 hours in two stages, 72 hours in stainless steel and 120 hours in wooden vessels, then distilled twice. It has not been aged in a cask, so it is clear. The nose is rich with malt, warm toasted bread and cheese biscuit, with a soft mineral note and a little honey. The palate is lively, with fruit and light acidity in a creamy, smooth body. The finish is long, with salted plum, clove and minerality.
