TB/BSW Blended Scotch 1977/2025 47 Year Old Thompson Bros (70cl, 40.3%)

TB/BSW is a 47-year-old blended Scotch whisky from Thompson Bros, dated 1977 and bottled in 2025 at 40.3% in a 70cl bottle. It matured in a refill butt. Part of the blend is a 1976 blend that was bought already blended and is made up of Clyneslish, Teaninich, Dailuaine and Invergordon. It was then blended further with 1977 Invergordon grain whisky. The nose brings toasted woodchips, plums, cinnamon, forest floor, rosemary and grapefruit peel. The palate runs to custard, wood glue, vanilla extract, stone pine schnapps and a Snickers bar, and the finish is drying with stewed red fruits and hazelnuts.
