This is a 13 year old single grain Irish whiskey from the Teeling Distillery in Dublin. It is a limited expression, bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whiskey was matured first in ex-bourbon casks, then given an extended finishing period in Bordeaux red wine casks.
The nose has red berries, honey, vanilla and toasted oak. The palate shows ripe fruit, spice, dark chocolate and creamy vanilla. The finish is long and warming, with a touch of oak and dried fruit.
