This is the fourth release in the Teeling Rising Reserve series, an Irish single malt aged for 21 years. It spent its first 18 years in ex-bourbon casks, then three more in selected white wine casks. It was bottled at 46% without chill-filtration, in a limited edition of 6,000 bottles.
On the nose there is candied lemon, vanilla, biscuit dough and toffee, with lightly toasted barley behind. The palate brings bright tropical fruit, citrus, white chocolate and soft tannins. The finish is long and mild, with orchard fruit and honey.
