Teeling Blackpitts Peated Cask Strength is an Irish whiskey in a 70cl bottle, bottled at cask strength, 56.5% vol. The name comes from the Dublin district beside the Teeling Distillery where the city's maltings once stood. It was matured in ex-bourbon casks, which show off the smoky character well. Irish triple distillation keeps the mix of flavours soft and mild. The nose has campfire smoke, maple syrup, fruit and citrus. The palate is balanced, with honey, grilled pineapple, apple, pear, vanilla and smoked caramel with sea salt. The finish is long, with peat smoke, sea salt and vanilla.
