Teeling – Blackpitts Peated (70cl, 46%)

Teeling Blackpitts Peated is an Irish single malt named after the Blackpitts area of Dublin's Liberties, close to the Teeling distillery in Newmarket and once home to some of the largest barley malting houses in Ireland. The barley is dried with peat smoke, and the whiskey is triple distilled, which softens the medicinal side of peated malt and lets a barbecue smoke character come forward. It was matured in ex-bourbon and ex-Sauternes casks, and bottled at 46% without chill filtration in a 70cl bottle.
