Teeling Blackpitts Peated Single Malt Irish Whiskey (75cl, 46%)

Teeling Blackpitts is a peated single malt Irish whiskey, triple distilled at the Teeling distillery in Newmarket, Dublin. It was the first peated single malt distilled in the city, and takes its name from the Blackpitts area behind the distillery, once full of malting houses. The peated malt comes from Glenesk in Scotland and enters the process at roughly 55 parts per million. Maturation is in ex bourbon barrels and ex Sauternes casks, and the whiskey is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered, in a 750ml bottle. The nose is barbecue smoke and warm charcoal, with clove, butterscotch and orange peel. On the palate, applewood smoke is wrapped in honey.
