Teeling Single Grain Irish Whiskey (75cl, 46%)

Teeling Single Grain is an Irish grain whiskey made from a mash of 95% corn and 5% malted barley, column distilled at the Teeling distillery in Dublin. Rather than being finished in wine casks, it spends its whole maturation in Californian Cabernet Sauvignon casks. It is bottled at 46% and non-chill-filtered, and was named World's Best Single Grain at the World Whiskies Awards in 2014. The nose offers red grape, berries and spice over an underlying sweetness. The palate is smooth and silky, with spice deepening into berry fruit, and the finish is short, dry and tannic.
