Teeling Explorers Series 15 Year Old Japanese Edition is an Irish whisky made from corn and malted barley. The Explorers Series celebrates Irish explorers, and each release uses casks or spirit types that reflect a particular nation. This one spent eleven years in ex-bourbon barrels, followed by four years in ex-Mugi Shochu Japanese spirit casks. Teeling sourced those casks directly through a friend living in Japan, and the whisky then waited more than four years before bottling. It is bottled at 46% ABV and is non-chill filtered.
