Teeling – Wonders Of Wood Irish Whiskey (70cl, 50%)

Teeling Wonders Of Wood is an Irish single pot still whiskey from the Teeling distillery in Dublin, part of a series that looks at how different woods shape maturation. The mash bill is half malted and half un-malted barley. It is matured fully in virgin Swedish oak casks and bottled at 50% ABV without chill filtration. The nose is floral and bright, with zesty citrus, a little caramel and cooked barley. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with herbal notes, candied ginger, almond and treacle. The finish is clean and dry, with warmth, black pepper and nutmeg.
