Templeton Bourbon Fortitude is the first bourbon distilled at the Templeton distillery in Iowa itself, launched in April 2024. It is made from locally grown corn with 40% rye and 5% malted barley, aged in new American oak casks toasted to level 4.
It is bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof), with natural colour and without chill-filtration.
The nose combines caramel, vanilla, soft spices, black pepper and lemon zest, with floral and herbal notes. The palate is rich and generous, with caramel, honey, butterscotch and bright citrus, leading to a warm finish of toasted oak and caramelised popcorn.
