Templeton Midnight Rye is an Iowa rye whiskey from Templeton Distillery, bottled at 45% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The mash is made from rye, corn and malted barley.
It is aged in first-fill American oak barrels and then layered with a touch of port wine.
Tasting notes describe dark cherry and fig on the nose, with spiced orange peel, cinnamon and clove. The palate is silky and full-bodied, with dark chocolate, dried fruit, oak and a little black pepper.
