The Ardmore Traditional Peated is a single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 40% in a 1 litre bottle. The colour is burnished gold.
Its character comes from two kinds of cask. American casks give the whisky its maturity, while smaller old casks add a spicy, creamy note to the aroma.
The nose is soft and full-bodied. On the palate, rich flavours come with creamy peat and a touch of gentle vanilla. A little water brings out a sweet start of ripe fruit, followed by the peat. The finish is full, juicy and fairly long.
