The Arran 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch (70cl, 46%)

The Arran 18 Year Old is a single malt Scotch bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It spent just under two decades maturing in a mix of sherry casks. The notes run from crunchy malt and caramelised green apple with sultanas and cinnamon to brown sugar, vanilla crème brûlée and toasted oak. Stone fruit, candied orange peel, ginger, a touch of leather and dark chocolate follow. The nose offers orchard fruits with syrup and toasted oak. On the palate are caramelised orange, dark chocolate and baked peaches, and the finish brings sweetness, spice, citrus and baked peaches.
