The Arran 25 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46%)

This is a 25 year old single malt from Arran, distilled and matured at Lochranza and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It comes in an engraved wooden gift box. The whisky is a mix of bourbon barrels and sherry casks from 1995, finished for a year in sherry hogsheads. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, with a rich amber appearance. The nose has rich oak and gentle nutmeg, with baked figs, sultanas and black cherries. On the palate come fruit cake, toasted almonds and cinnamon, with orange, mandarin, manuka honey, muscovado sugar, baked apricot and white pepper. The finish is creamy and spicy, with dark chocolate, walnuts and dark fruit compote.
