The Arran Machrie Moor 10 Year Old is a lightly to medium peated single malt, matured for ten years in first-fill bourbon casks. It is the third in a series of peated styles from the distillery, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle and non-chill filtered.
The peat on the nose is dry and unconfrontational, becoming fruitier after some time in the glass. The palate leans towards fruit salad rather than smoke, and the juicy malt leads to a sweet, succulent finish that ends oily and warming, with brine and pepper.
