The Arran Malt 18 Year Old

This is an 18 year old single malt from The Arran Malt, the distillery in Lochranza on the island of Arran. It is bottled without chill filtration and without added colour, and the colour is honey gold. The nose brings sweet fruit with syrup, toasted oak, vanilla, cinnamon and spices. On the palate the sweetness comes with chocolate, ginger, burnt dark brown sugar and plenty of vanilla, and a little water draws out oranges and floral aromas. The finish is long, with citrus fruit alongside dark chocolate.
