The Balvenie – 12 Years Single Barrel First Fill Cask 416 (70cl, 47.8%)

This is a 12 year old single malt from The Balvenie, drawn from a single first-fill ex-bourbon cask, number 416, and bottled at 47.8% without chill-filtration. This is bottle number 20, in a 70cl bottle. Each Balvenie Single Barrel release comes from one cask and runs to no more than 300 bottles. On the nose it offers honey, followed by sweet fruit and a subtle spiciness. The palate is rich and complex, with a deep vanilla flavour from the oak, and the finish is a lasting sweetness.
