The Deveron 10 Years Old (70cl, 40%)

The Deveron 10 Years Old is a Highland single malt from the Macduff distillery on the River Deveron. It spent ten years in oak casks and is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle, chill-filtered and with added colouring. Macduff began production in 1960 with five small copper stills and horizontal condensers. John Dewar & Sons introduced The Deveron as the distillery's single malt brand. The nose is fresh and floral, with green apple, toffee, plum conserve, light cereal and soft malt. On the palate come ripe fruit and savoury nuts, fresh-cut hay, toffee apples, creamy sweet oak, dry grain and a fine salty touch. The finish is medium in length and fades with gentle spice.
