The Famous Grouse Gold Reserve is a 12-year-old blended whisky, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose shows honeyed malt with ripe and crystallised fruit, including green apple, pear and peach, alongside sherry, raisins, vanilla and toffee, with a faint breath of peat smoke. The palate is smooth, creamy and silky, opening with caramel, burnt sugar and nuts before moving to oaky notes, sweet spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg, dark chocolate and red berries. The finish is medium to long and warm, dry, with malty sweetness, spice, oak and a slightly smoky trace.
