The Famous Grouse 12 Years Old Gold Reserve is a 12-year-old blended Scotch whisky from Matthew Gloag & Son, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV.
The nose is warm and malty, with honey, ripe peach, creamy vanilla and soft caramel, along with raisins, dried apricot and a spiced oak background. On the palate it is smooth and rich in texture, with sweet malt, toffee, apple and pear, a nutty note, cinnamon and nutmeg.
The finish is medium to long and honeyed, leaving nuts, a faint trace of cocoa and soft wood.
